Just completed my 2nd time on the exercise referral scheme and I was amazed that this time I lost a whole 1lb ๐๐ญ. How annoying!
I go swimming 1-2 times a week. Go to the gym 1-2 times a week. Go mountain walking once a week and walk at least 3 miles a day. I also have the occasional game of tennis. In summer holidays etc we’re out the house all day everyday and the weight still wont shift!
Dont get me wrong I’m far from fit, currently 10 stone overweight with a BMI of 43 ๐ฑ every time I speak to my gym instructor he just says increase your exercise. Well last time I done that I put on 9lbs! The same as in the summer, with all the extra exercise I can put on upto 2 stone, when I cut down again it drops back off. So strange! Anyone else have this issue?
I’ve seen a few vids saying that if you have pcos less is more but how true are they? What can you really believe online anyway ๐ if anyone has any tips for dropping some weight please let me know.
I wish I could be one of those people who claims to have all the answers to your pcos questions and offers all these solutions but it’s not gonna happy. Sorry
Hi there! I feel this post so much! I am no PCOS expert but I have read over and over again that if you have PCOS, you need to do regular, low impact exercise like yoga, Pilates, walks. Iโm not sure of the science but high intensity things like exercise classes and running cause a spike in insulin (I thinkโฆ I really canโt remember the science!). Apparently to lose weight with PCOS itโs a combination of regular, low impact exercise and diet changes like dairy and gluten freeโฆ I really hope this helps x

Thanks for your reply. Yes I’m sure I’ve read something similar which is why I mainly focused on weights at the gym. I think the real problem is that there is so much information going round on what to do/not do that it can all get very confusing. As far as dairy goes I only have milk in my tea so not going over board. I have tried keto too but it didnt work for me x

Oh I fully agree with that – you want to do whatโs best but thereโs so much information about what is best ha! I guess just trying to work with yourself and your body is whatโs best x
